19 Russian strikes overnight: facility hit in Donetsk Oblast, civilian injured in Kherson Oblast

Russian troops struck an infrastructure facility in Donetsk Oblast on Sunday evening, 22 October, causing a fire, and attacked the Beryslav and Kherson districts in Kherson Oblast overnight, leaving a man injured.

Details: Klymenko said the Russians attacked Ukrainian territory 19 times overnight. Eight populated areas were hit.
Donetsk Oblast: Russian forces attacked an infrastructure facility at around 22:00. Ukraine’s State Emergency Service firefighters put out the flames within hours.
Kherson Oblast: Russian troops attacked Beryslav and Kherson districts overnight. They launched 14 aerial bombs on the villages of Tiahynka, Prydniprovske and Mykilske. One person was injured in the attack. The settlement of Kizomys also came under fire.
Sumy Oblast: The Russians deployed mortars to attack the settlements of Znob-Novhorodske and Stara Huta in the Shostka district overnight. A private residential building was damaged. There were no casualties.
Odesa Oblast: Russian forces attacked the oblast using a UAV. Air defence forces shot down the drone. The wreckage damaged a warehouse that was out of commission. Firefighters put out the blaze.
In turn, DTEK reported that one of its thermal power plants had been damaged by a Russian attack on the evening of 22 October. There were no casualties, but the company’s equipment was severely damaged.
