Rescue workers have retrieved four more bodies from under the rubble, meaning that the death toll from the Russian attack on Kyiv on 29 December has risen to 28.

Quote from KCMA’s Head Serhii Popko: “Rescue workers have retrieved four more bodies from under the rubble.
As of this moment, the Ruscists have already killed 28 people with their missile strike on 29 December.”
Details: On the morning of 1 January, KCMA reported that 27 people had been killed in a Russian attack in the capital.
Popko said another 30 people were injured during that attack.
The State Emergency Service reported that they had already moved and removed 2,675 cubic metres of destroyed building structures.
Search and rescue operations continue around the clock.
As of now, 47 people and 21 fire-and-rescue appliances are involved in those operations.
A Day of Mourning was declared in the capital on 1 January.
Background:
- On the night and morning of 29 December, Russia launched a massive air attack on Ukraine. Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia and other cities were targeted.
- In total, air defence managed to destroy 114 out of 158 Russian air targets over Ukraine. According to the Air Force, the Russian Federation used almost all types of weapons available at its disposal.
