Number of furloughed workers rises, led by manufacturing sector
Taipei, July 17 (CNA) The number of furloughed workers on formal unpaid leave programs in Taiwan has risen, with the exports-oriented manufacturing sector accounting for the bulk of employees newly placed on the schemes amid weakening global demand, the Ministry of Labor (MOL) said Monday.
