Taiwan shares close down amid renewed concerns over Fed rate hike cycle
Taipei, Aug. 18 (CNA) Shares in Taiwan moved lower as earlier gains were eroded amid renewed fears the U.S. Federal Reserve will raise key interest rates further after it was revealed Fed officials said in the minutes of a July policymaking meeting that “upside risks” to inflation could lead to more rate hikes, dealers said.
