The Russian army fired on the city of Kherson several times from the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Oblast on the night of 1-2 October, damaging civil infrastructure, educational institutions, private and apartment buildings, as well as businesses.

Oleksandr Prokudin reported that the Russians fired on the centre of Kherson at around 05:00 on Monday, 2 October. A fire broke out at the scene, but firefighters promptly extinguished it.
