TSMC applies for permanent China chip waiver from U.S.
Taipei, Oct. 13 (CNA) Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), the world’s largest contract chipmaker, said Friday it is in the process of applying for a permanent waiver from the U.S. government on semiconductor equipment supplied to its operations in China.
