US to return two Iron Dome systems to Israel

The US Department of Defense plans to send back two Iron Dome missile defence systems previously purchased from Israel so that it can defend itself against missiles.

Details: Reuters stated that the Pentagon told members of Congress at a briefing on Wednesday that the Iron Dome systems are planned to be returned to Israel on lease, while the United States remains their owner.
As a congressional aide said, the transfer of the systems to Israel could take place within days. The Pentagon was considering and testing them as a way to protect the territory of Guam from Chinese missiles.
Reuters also reported that US President Joe Biden would ask Congress for an additional US$100 billion in funding, including US$60 billion for Ukraine and US$14 billion for Israel.
