Furloughed workers in manufacturing sector up over 1,200 in one week
Taipei, Oct. 24 (CNA) The number of furloughed workers on formal unpaid leave programs in the local manufacturing sector rose more than 1,200 in one week as the exports-oriented sector continued to be impacted by the weakening global economy, which led to a fall in orders, the Ministry of Labor (MOL) said Tuesday.
