Zelenskyy to address EU leaders at summit this week

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will address the participants of the European Union summit to be held in Brussels on 26-27 October via video call.

Details: The source said that Zelenskyy, as was the case on previous occasions, would address the leaders of the EU countries at the beginning of the meeting.
“We expect to reaffirm our unwavering support for Ukraine through various actions, including military, financial and diplomatic support. This will be reiterated,” he said.
The European official added that Brussels is working on “different tracks of action” to support Ukraine, including the use of frozen Russian assets and the revision of budget to provide additional funding for Kyiv.
Background: On 26-27 October, EU leaders will discuss ways to speed up military support for Ukraine, use of frozen Russian assets, and intensification of the EU’s diplomatic efforts to ensure a just peace in Brussels.
The day before, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for Belgium’s experience in using frozen Russian assets to be shared across Europe.
