Polish border blockade: lorries wait almost 6 days to enter Ukraine

The waiting time for lorries to enter Ukraine reaches up to six days due to the Polish hauliers blocking traffic at certain checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border.

Details: The Polish National Revenue Administration said the approximate waiting time for crossing the border toward Ukraine at checkpoints is:
- Hrebenne-Rava Ruska – 140 hours (almost 6 days);
- Medyka-Shehyni – 67 hours;
- Dorohusk-Yahodyn – 39 hours.
Background:
- Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service commented on the situation on the Ukrainian-Polish border, where Polish hauliers have been blocking truck traffic for the last two days.
- Earlier, dozens of Polish hauliers began to blockade three crossings on the border with Ukraine.
- Vasyl Zvarych, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Poland, called the border blockade “a painful stab in Ukraine’s back” and urged the hauliers to stop.
