Lithuanian Defence Minister arrives in Kyiv and meets Zelenskyy

Arvydas Anušauskas, Defence Minister of Lithuania, has arrived in Kyiv and met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Details: Zelenskyy noted that at the meeting they discussed further defence cooperation.
Quote: “We are working on the supply of armoured medical evacuation vehicles for the soldiers at the front. Thank you for your strong support of Ukraine. Support in weapons, political support, and absolutely sincere public support in Lithuania for Ukraine, for Ukrainians,” he said.
The minister himself has not yet provided details of the visit.
Background:
- On 10 November, Lithuania announced the transfer of the next package of military assistance for Ukraine, which, among other things, contains generators and means for combating drones.
- In addition, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defence confirmed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have received two launchers of the NASAMS air defence system acquired by Lithuania.
