Details: Ollongren said that this decision means that support for Ukraine in the war against Russia remains unwavering.
The funds are part of a broader aid package that the Netherlands will provide to Ukraine next year, which includes an initial €102 million for reconstruction and humanitarian aid, to be increased throughout the year if necessary.
Ollongren noted that, with the latest package, the total amount of support provided by the Netherlands to Ukraine is around €7.5 billion.
Quote from Ollongren: “What’s most critical for me is that we’ll be providing an additional 2 billion euros in military aid next year. This will safeguard our support for Ukraine and ensure continuity, which is critical for Ukraine.”
More details: She said this, referring to a November 22 election in the Netherlands that will change the composition of the ruling government coalition.
