Slovak authorities promise Ukraine to prevent border blockade

Denisa Žiláková, State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport of Slovakia, confirmed in a conversation with Serhii Derkach, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, that the Slovak side would take measures to prevent carriers from blocking the border.

Especially when it comes to the only cargo point with Slovakia: Uzhhorod-Vyšné Nemecké… They promised to hold consultations with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Slovakia to prevent such protests.”
Details: The Slovak official also confirmed the appeal of one of the carrier associations, which demands a return to the permit system.
“I assured our counterparts that the liberalisation of transport is a necessary step in the context of the war and the sea blockade,” the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure added.
