Background:
- Earlier, reports emerged that the protest by Polish hauliers on the border with Ukraine may spread to a group of farmers planning to join the protest at the Medyka checkpoint.
- Since 6 November, Polish hauliers have been blocking the other three border crossings with Ukraine: Yahodyn-Dorohusk, Krakivets-Korczowa, and Rava-Ruska-Hrebenne.
- Earlier this month, Ukraine’s Infrastructure Ministry, together with relevant associations and hauliers, set up an aid hub to provide food, drinking water, medicines and fuel to the stranded Ukrainian drivers.
