Zelenskyy imposes sanctions against over 300 companies and individuals from Russia and other countries

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, issued two decrees validating the decision of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC) from 23 November about imposing economic sanctions against a number of Russians and Russian companies.

Details: According to the decree No 773, five-year-long sanctions are imposed against a number of Russian power companies – Vologda Regional Energy Company, Omskelektro, Rosseti Lenenergo, and Far Eastern Energy Management Company – Network Generation.
The list also contains the Moscow Energy Directorate, Salekhardenergo, LOESK-Electric Grids оf Saint Petersburg аnd Leningrad Region, Volgogradoblelectro, Moscow Regional Power Grid Company, Rosseti Kuban and others.
In addition to this, the sanctions were imposed against the Shakhta Imeni A.F. Zasyadko in the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic, Soyuzenergoindustria, Soyuzenergoproekt etc.
The same decree also imposes sanctions for the time period of 10 years against 87 individuals, including Russian and Ukrainian citizens. Click the link to see the full list.

The sanctions mainly provide for the blocking of assets, restricting trade operations and prevention of moving capital outside the borders of Ukraine.
