Zelenskyy comments on unprecedented Russian drone attack on Holodomor Remembrance Day

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called it deliberate terror that the Russians launched a record number of Shahed attack drones at Ukraine in the early hours of Holodomor Remembrance Day. [Holodomor was a man-made famine in Soviet Ukraine which lasted from 1932 to 1933 and claimed the lives of millions of Ukrainians – ed.]

Our soldiers shot down most of the drones. Unfortunately, not all of them. But we continue to work to strengthen our air defence and shoot down more targets.
And we continue to work to unite the world in defence against Russian terror. The terrorist state must lose and be held accountable for its actions.”
