Ukraine’s Foreign Affairs Minister goes to Brussels on two-day visit

Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, will spend the next two days on a visit in Brussels.

Details: Kuleba’s visit will be conducted on 28-29 November, focusing on “mobilisation of political and military support of the EU and NATO member states, promotion of Ukraine’s accession to both organisations, specifically in the context of the next meeting of the European Council in December, as well as integration of defence industries of Ukraine and NATO, enhancement of production and armament and ammunition supply for Ukrainian soldiers.”

It is planned to hold the meeting with Josep Borrell, top EU representative for foreign affairs and security policy, on 28 November.

In addition to this, Kuleba will make a speech in the European Parliament at the opening of the conference on the responsibility for Russian crimes, and open a VR-exhibition called Living the war.

On 29 November, Ukraine’s Foreign Affairs Minister will participate in the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO council at the NATO headquarters, which will be conducted on the foreign ministers’ level for the first time.

“The head of Ukrainian diplomacy will inform the NATO allies about the current situation on the front and priority military needs of Ukraine, and discuss the adapted Annual National Program for 2024 amid the preparation for the NATO Summit in Washington,” Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry reported.

Dmytro Kuleba will also hold a number of bilateral meetings in Brussels, specifically with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and foreign affairs ministers of NATO member states.

Background: Stoltenberg reported that at the NATO Council meeting, the allies will agree on the recommendations concerning the reforms Ukraine has to implement to be ready for NATO accession.

He also expressed his certainty that the allies will continue supplying Ukraine with a significant amount of military aid.
