The Secretary General stressed that the Alliance highly commends Ukraine for its reform progress.
Quote: “I am actually impressed by Ukraine’s commitment to implement reforms,” he said.
On Wednesday, at a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council, Ukraine presented an adapted Annual National Programme for further reforms in line with the Alliance’s requirements. “We have agreed on the work program and substructure under the Ukraine-NATO Council to ensure that we follow up on the reforms,” the Secretary General said.
The approval of the programme was also confirmed in an official statement by the NATO-Ukraine Council: “NATO and Ukraine are already working and taking decisions together, as equals, on a broad range of issues, including interoperability, energy security, innovation, cyber defence, and resilience.”
European Pravda has received a copy of this document and reports about its content in a video blog, in particular that the list of reforms did not include Hungary’s demands; the Alliance found an opportunity to ignore them.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba also rejected ideas and proposals for a territorial compromise with Russia.
