“There will be more weapons”: Ukraine and US sign memorandum on joint production

Ukraine and the US have signed a Memorandum on joint production in the defence industry and the exchange of technical data at the Defence Industries Conference in Washington.

Details: As Yermak said, the memorandum defines the localisation of the defence industry in Ukraine.
Quote: “Production facilities should be built in Ukraine to provide the Armed Forces with the necessary weapons in the spheres of air defence, production of critical ammunition, as well as repair and maintenance.
The US Department of Defense and industrial partners will provide Ukraine with technical data for the start of local implementation of individual projects aimed at improving outdated air defence systems by integrating Western munitions,” he wrote.
“The document provides that Ukraine will receive the capabilities necessary for success on the battlefield in the short term and, in the long term, will contribute to economic recovery and the strengthening of defence capabilities.
In particular, the document will contribute to the construction of production facilities in our country to provide the Armed Forces with the necessary weapons, in particular in the spheres of air defence, production of critical ammunition, as well as repair and maintenance,” the Office of the President explained.
