“Would be even better if he had killed him”: Kadyrov praises his son for beating a man

Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of the Kremlin-controlled Chechnya, has stated that his 15-year-old son Adam had done the right thing by beating Mykyta Zhuravel, who had been detained in connection with the burning of the Quran, and that it would be even better if he killed him.

Details: He said that since the court had not decided on his son’s punishment, the Chechen authorities also ought not to deal with this.
Quote: “What to punish him for? For the fact that he beat up an agent, a man who burned the Quran? It would have been even better if he had killed him.”
Details: Kadyrov added that his son “would consider it an honour” if he was punished for beating a man.

- In August, Mykyta Zhuravel, a 19-year-old Ukrainian native accused of setting fire to the Quran in Russian Volgograd, was beaten in jail by Kadyrov’s 15-year-old son.
