11 houses and 11 cars damaged in Kyiv Oblast

No direct strikes were recorded in Kyiv Oblast in the large-scale Russian attack on 29 December, but 11 private houses and 11 cars were damaged by falling pieces. Moreover, one person was injured.

Quote from Kravchenko: “For more than 2 hours, the enemy attacked Kyiv Oblast with missiles. Our air defence forces were actively responding to enemy targets. No hits to critical or residential infrastructure were recorded.”

Details: At the same time, he said that 11 private houses in 3 districts were damaged as a result of the falling pieces: roofs and fences were destroyed, windows were smashed, and facades were cut.

Fires broke out in two houses, but were quickly extinguished.

Also, 11 cars and several outbuildings were damaged.

A power transmission line was damaged as a result of falling debris in one settlement.

“Emergency services continue to work. People whose property is damaged will be provided with all the necessary assistance,” Kravchenko promised and urged residents not to ignore air-raid warnings.  

Background

  • On the morning of 29 December, Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine: explosions were heard in Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv and a number of other cities, killing at least 12 people.
  • During the large-scale attack on Ukraine, the Russians used 158 air targets – missiles of various types and attack UAVs. A total of 27 Shaheds and 87 cruise missiles were destroyed.
