Details: He said that twelve mothers expecting their babies and four newborns were present at the medical facility when it was attacked.

The staff with patients went down to the shelter as soon as the alarm went off, the head of the obstetric department noted.

“This saved [them]… Windows were broken in the building, floors were broken. But all the patients and medical staff are safe and sound!”, the Oblast Military Administration says.

Iryna Kulbach, the head of the obstetric department, confirmed to Suspilne that no patients or infants were hurt.

“They are all home now. I am sure that the maternity ward will work in the near future, and new Ukrainians will be born there,” the doctor added.

On the night of 28-29 December, the Russians used 158 missiles and loitering munitions during a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine, with 27 Shahed drones and 87 cruise missiles downed.

Five people have been reported killed and 20 injured, including a child, as a result of a missile attack on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
