A total of 11 people, including five children, were killed and eight others were injured as a result of Russian strikes in the Pokrovsk district, Donetsk Oblast, on 6 January.

Quote: “Early reports indicate that 11 [people] were killed, including five children, as a result of the strikes in the Pokrovsk district.
The Russians hit the district with S-300 missiles, killing 11 people and wounding another 8. [Cities of] Pokrovsk and Rivne in Myrnohrad hromada [an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories] were in the epicentre.”
Background: Earlier, Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, reported that a Russian attack on Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, left at least six people injured, and three people may be trapped under rubble.
Later, he wrote that the Pokrovsk district was subjected to numerous attacks on Saturday evening. A search operation is ongoing in the city of Pokrovsk as one person was recovered from the rubble of the building. Two more people are likely to be staying under the ruins.
