Russia must participate in peaceful negotiations – Swiss Foreign Minister

Ignazio Cassis, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, has stated at the fourth meeting dedicated to the Ukrainian peace formula in Davos that the Ukrainian peaceful plan is only a “foundation” for negotiations aimed at ending the conflict with Russia.

We must do everything possible in order to support Ukraine.”
Details: Cassis believes that the peaceful plan must advance even if the dialogue between Kyiv and Moscow is not possible at the moment.
“Every day, while we are waiting, dozens of civilians get killed. We have no right to wait,” Cassis stressed.
He added that “we must end this war”. Among the ten clauses of the peace formula, Switzerland works on those concerning trade safety, nuclear safety and the process of ending the war.
Background: The fourth meeting of national security advisers on the Ukrainian Peace Formula is taking place in Davos, Switzerland, on Sunday, 14 January. 81 countries and international organisations participated in the meeting.
