Equipment of Kharkiv Oblast power company partially destroyed in Russian attacks

As a result of Russian bombardments, a fire broke out at the production facility of Kharkivoblenergo, a state-owned regional power distribution company in Kharkiv Oblast.

Details: The Ministry of Energy stated that the company’s specialists were not injured, but the equipment was destroyed.
“As a result of enemy attacks, a fire broke out at the production facility of Kharkivoblenergo. Equipment was destroyed, but no employees were injured,” the statement said.
The power outage schedules are not applied.
The Ministry of Energy also added that as a result of the attacks, a lot of Ukrainians are cut off from the power grid: almost 16,000 consumers in Kharkiv Oblast; 26,000 consumers in Kherson Oblast; 4,300 consumers in the city of Kherson itself, and 73 settlements in Donetsk Oblast.
Background: In December 2023, a large-scale Russian missile strike on Kharkiv on Friday night severely damaged the building of a power company’s distribution centre.
