Taiwan shares end slightly up as TSMC offsets old economy’s losses
Taipei, May 9 (CNA) Shares in Taiwan closed slightly higher Tuesday as large-cap tech stocks such as contract chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) sustained strength to offset losses suffered by their old economy counterparts, dealers said.
