Details: Stanislav Haider, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, reported that the Council would also become a transparent mechanism for requesting donor support for the ministry’s reform projects.
The following types of support will be used within the Council of donors:
- expert aid, material-technical support,
- preparation of expert propositions, conclusions, analytical materials for state policy in the defence sector,
- consultations concerning interoperability with NATO.
“The activity of the Council will not concern the mechanism of engaging the international military aid which operates within the Contact Groups for Ukraine’s Defence in the Ramstein format or other platforms,” Ukraine’s Defence Ministry stated.
The Council of Donors for Institutional Reforms includes representatives of more than 20 countries and organisations, mainly defence attachés, diplomatic representatives of Ukraine’s ally states, as well as international defence organisations active in Ukraine.
