Bill to establish data protection agency clears legislative floor
Taipei, May 16 (CNA) A new data protection agency will be established in Taiwan and fines for data breaches by non-government entities will rise dramatically after the Legislative Yuan passed amendments to the Personal Data Protection Act on Tuesday.
