Details: “Ukraine’s power grid is going through a difficult period. Therefore, the assistance of partners in repairing our energy facilities is of great value to us,” said Ukraine’s Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko.
In addition to contributions to the Fund, Estonia has delivered 15 shipments of humanitarian energy aid totalling 225 tonnes since the start of the full-scale invasion.
The ministry noted that the provided equipment includes 2 power transformers, over 100 current transformers, equipment for energy IT infrastructure, and more.
The Ukraine Energy Support Fund was established at the joint initiative of Halushchenko and Kadri Simson, European Commissioner for Energy, in the spring of 2022.
Ukraine’s Energy Ministry added that over the past few weeks, Australia, the United Kingdom, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland have also contributed funds or declared their intentions to contribute to the Fund.
