Ukraine’s Armed Forces Command obliged to coordinate theses for interviews and blogs with its Strategic Communications Department

The commanders and heads of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been obliged to coordinate the theses for comments, blogs and interviews with the Strategic Communications Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Stratcom).

Details: Reportedly, the commanders and heads of structural units of the defence forces of Ukraine, as well as the military educational facilities, institutions and organisations were obliged to coordinate the theses of the interviews, as well as briefings, blogs, comments “about the deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” with the Strategic Communications Department, a structural unit of Ukraine’s Armed Forces responsible for the organisation of strategic communications in Ukraine’s troops.
The decree concerns “the heads (commanders and chiefs) of structural units of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military management bodies, formations, military units, top military educational institutions, military training units of higher education institutions, institutions and organisations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other bodies of the defence forces of Ukraine”.
The decree also says that corresponding materials, along with the protocol of the meeting of the expert commission on classified information, must be submitted for consideration to the email of the Strategic Communications Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine not later than in three days.
The operation of the expert commission on classified information is regulated by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from 18 December 2013, No.939 about Procedure of Organisation and Facilitation of Secrecy Regime in State Bodies, Local Authorities, Enterprises, Institutions and Organisations”. The decree itself has the stamp “For official use”.
The order about the necessity of receiving the approval of interviews, briefings, blogs and comments from the military has been signed recently. The document was prepared by Stratcom a long time ago.
