Zelenskyy holds meeting of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff right after returning to Ukraine

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, held a Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on 17 June, during which urgent issues were discussed, mainly the production and deployment of Ukrainian drones.

Quote: “Right after coming back to Ukraine I held the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
I heard reports from Rustem Umierov, Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Anatolii Barhylevych, Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We have discussed the operative situation on all fronts and near the borders, the dynamics of fulfilment of state contracts, and the delivery of aid from the aid packages announced by Ukraine’s allies.
I heard reports from the heads of all the units of the defence forces of Ukraine: the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, as well as the report by the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.”
Details: Zelenskyy adds that he had heard a detailed report by Vadym Sukharevskyi, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces. He reported the deployment of all types of drones – aerial, ground and sea ones – and all types of missions: from tactical FPVs and evacuation platforms to the so-called Deep Strike drones.
Zelenskyy stresses that the drone sector is actively developing, and not only in the number of drones produced, but also the number of those deployed. The president believes that Ukraine is leading the technological progress in this sector.
Zelenskyy thinks that following Ukraine’s victory in the war against Russia, its experience will become a hi-tech part of Ukrainian exports.
For reference: Over the weekend, the Peace Summit was held in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, with the participation of President Zelenskyy – the first gathering of world leaders devoted to ways to end the Russian war against Ukraine.
