The Ukrainian team has defeated Chile in the quarterfinals and reached the semi-finals of the Men’s FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cup 2024.

This was the second encounter between the teams. Last season, the Ukrainians triumphed with a 3-0 victory.
The Ukrainians lost the first set to the Chileans. The Chilean team held the advantage in the second set as well, but the Ukrainians caught up and surpassed their opponents. The Ukrainian athletes also claimed the third set. In the decisive set, the Ukrainian team secured an advantage and won the match.
The Ukrainians will face the Belgian team in the semi-finals. The match will take place on Saturday, 6 July.
For reference: The Challenger Cup is a qualifying tournament for the Volleyball Nations League, the most prestigious competition for national volleyball teams. The Ukrainian national team will compete in the qualifying championship for the second time in a row. Last year, the Ukrainians won bronze, but this did not allow them to qualify for the Nations League.
