Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers seeks place to relocate staff and patients of Okhmatdyt hospital

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will consider the consequences of the Russian attack on 8 July, mainly on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital, at the nearest meeting.

Details: Shmyhal ordered the ministries of health, economy and finances of Ukraine to work on allocating funds for rebuilding medical facilities and helping the people affected by Russia’s strikes.
Quote: “The consequences of this barbaric attack will be considered at the nearest assembly of the government. I ordered the ministries of health, economy and finances to urgently allocate funds to restore the medical facilities and help those affected.
On the order of the president of Ukraine the government is considering new locations for settling the staff and patients of Okhmatdyt.”
Details: Shmyhal added that the Ukrainian government hoped Ukraine’s international partners would “draw their conclusions”.
Background:
Two adults, including a 30-year-old doctor Svitlana Lukianchuk, were killed in a Russian attack on a specialised children’s hospital Okhmatdyt on 8 July.
