Zelenskyy holds meeting of Staff of Supreme Commander-in-Chief, discusses possibility of attacks over line of contact

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, has held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on 23 July, during which Ukraine’s capability to launch attacks over the line of contact with the Russians and the prospects of the Ukrainian missile programme were discussed.

Quote: “The reports of Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Anatolii Barhylevych, Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, were heard. The changes in the operative situation, forecasts, further actions, staffing of the brigades for timely rotation [were discussed – ed.]
A lot of attention was paid to the possibility of launching attacks over the line of contact. We analysed the efficiency of our drones of different types, as well as tactics of the Russian army concerning the drones. The efficiency of radio-electronic warfare and of other methods of countering UAVs was assessed.”
Details: Zelenskyy added that Ukraine’s missile programme was discussed as well.
He stated that Ukraine was actively working to decrease its dependence from partner states’ missile supplies, specifically for air defence systems.
The reports of Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, Ivan Havryliuk, First Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, and Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, were also heard.
