Hong Kong party room held up by 10 men, victims forced to transfer HK$110,000

Four men were allegedly held up by a group of 10 in a Hong Kong party room in the early hours of Wednesday and forced to transfer HK$110,000 to their assailants. Police have yet to make any arrests.

Three men from mainland China and a Taiwanese man, aged 28 to 33, were robbed in a party room in Kwun Tong at around 5.46 am on Wednesday, according to police. Ten male suspects had allegedly threatened the victims with at least one knife and attacked them with “plastic strips.”

The victims were said to have transferred a total of HK$110,000 to the suspects, while their personal belongings including cash and mobile phones worth around HK$90,000, were also robbed. The suspects later fled the scene.

Police listed the case as a robbery and said it was being followed up by the Kwun Tong District Crime Unit. No one has been apprehended so far.

All of the victims were injured and were sent to United Christian Hospital and Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment, according to police.
