The Cabinet of Ministers (Ukrainian government) has dismissed Oleksandr Kheil, suspected of bribery, from the post of Deputy Energy Minister.

Details: The report states that the decision was made at a meeting on 12 August.
Background:
- On Monday, it became known that the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine had uncovered a large-scale corruption scheme organised by the Deputy Minister of Energy.
- Ukrainska Pravda’s sources report that Oleksandr Kheil was detained in Kyiv for a bribe of half a million dollars.
