Russians most active on Pokrovsk front, launching 54 assaults there over past 24 hours – Ukraine’s General Staff

Ukrainian and Russian forces have clashed 134 times across the war zone over the past 24 hours, with the Russians being most active on the Pokrovsk and Toretsk fronts.

Quote: “Based on the updated information, yesterday [13 August – ed.], the enemy launched 2 missile strikes using 4 missiles and 81 airstrikes using 116 guided aerial bombs on Ukrainian positions and populated areas. In addition, they conducted 4,594 attacks, including 114 involving multiple-launch rocket systems.”

Details: Russian airstrikes targeted the following settlements: Riasne, Lyptsi, Novi Vyrky, Vorozhba, Bilopillia, Bilovody, Radkivka, Yunakivka, Sumy, Basivka, Mali Prokhody, Novovodiane, Serhiivka, Vasiukivka, Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, Druzhba, Kurdiumivka, Oleksandropil, Hrodivka, Rivnopil, Novodonetske, Novoukrainka, Vodiane, Bilohiria, Novodanylivka and Mykolaivka.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian aircraft and Rocket Forces and Artillery units carried out 12 strikes on clusters of Russian military personnel, weapons, and equipment, along with 2 strikes on command posts. They also destroyed two artillery systems, an electronic warfare station, an ammunition storage point and two other key Russian assets.

On the Kharkiv front, Ukrainian and Russian forces clashed 13 times near the settlements of Hlyboke, Lyptsi, Tykhe and Vovchansk.

The Russians mounted four attacks on the Kupiansk front over the past 24 hours. Ukrainian forces repelled Russian assaults near the settlements of Synkivka, Berestove, Kruhliakivka and Novoosynove.

On the Lyman front, the Russians launched 11 attacks, attempting to advance near the settlements of Nevske, Terny, Makiivka and in the Serebrianka Forest.

On the Siversk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled five Russian assaults near the settlements of Verkhnokamianske and Spirne.

On the Kramatorsk front, the Russians launched six attacks near the settlements of Bila Hora, Ivanivske and, most actively, in the area of the town of Chasiv Yar.

On the Toretsk front, the Russians, supported by aircraft, launched 19 attacks near the settlements of Zalizne, New-York and Toretsk.

On the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 54 Russian assaults and offensives near the settlements of Sukha Balka, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Yelyzavetivka, Zelene Pole, Malynivka, Hrodivka, Zhelanne, Skuchne, Kalynove, Ptyche and Karlivka.

“The highest concentration of enemy attacks occurred near Hrodivka, and the area around this settlement was bombarded with three guided aerial bombs,” the General Staff said.

On the Kurakhove front, Ukrainian forces repelled five attacks near the settlements of Krasnohorivka and Kostiantynivka.

On the Vremivka front, the Russians mounted six attacks on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Vodiane, Kostiantynivka and Vuhledar.

On the Orikhove front, the Russians attempted to drive Ukrainian units from their positions near the settlements of Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne, launching two attacks.

On the Prydniprovske front, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 11 times but reportedly faced strong resistance, suffered losses, and retreated. Additionally, the Russians launched an airstrike with rockets near Mykolaivka.

“There are no signs of enemy offensive groups being formed on the Volyn and Polissia fronts.

The enemy is actively using guided aerial bombs near the border with Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts, targeting areas close to Ukrainian settlements from within Russian territory. Additionally, Russian unexploded aerial bombs are detonating within Russian territory,” the General Staff said.
