Earlier, German newspaper Bild reported that a video from Kursk Oblast featured a Wiesent engineering tank based on a Leopard 1 tank bearing the insignia of Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

Ukraine is believed to be using several such vehicles in its operation in Kursk Oblast.

Videos have also surfaced showing Ukrainian forces using German-supplied Marder armoured personnel carriers in Kursk Oblast.

  • Earlier, German MP Marcus Faber said that Ukraine could use weapons provided by Germany for its current offensive on Russian territory.
  • Faber also advocated for increasing the supply of Leopard 2 tanks and delivering Fuchs armoured vehicles to Ukraine.
  • German Major General Christian Freuding, who heads the Situation Centre for Ukraine at the German Ministry of Defence, mentioned the decision of Ukrainian forces to launch an offensive on the Russian border.
  • After a several-day visit to Ukraine, Freuding said that he “fully understood” the decision of the Ukrainians to launch an offensive against Russia’s Kursk Oblast.
