Quote: “One of the objectives of the offensive on the Kursk front was to divert significant enemy forces from other areas. First of all, it concerns the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove fronts.

The enemy understands this and focuses on the Pokrovsk front, where its most capable units are concentrated.

Of course, the Kursk operation diverted a significant amount of enemy forces. Currently, we can say that about 30,000 Russian servicemen have already been deployed to the Kursk front, and this number is growing. At the same time, the enemy is trying not to withdraw units from other areas, and on the contrary, is increasing its presence on the Pokrovsk front.”

Details: Syrskyi noted that the situation on the Pokrovsk front is rather complicated. There, the Russians are using their superiority in manpower and weapons and are actively using artillery and aircraft. Most of the Russians’ offensive actions are conducted by infantry assault groups.

The Russians are trying to seize a section of the Kostiantynivka-Pokrovsk motorway to cut off the logistics of the Ukrainian defence forces. “The enemy is advancing at a very high cost… Every day our soldiers kill or wound up to 300 invaders on this front”, Syrskyi added.
