Russians fortify positions on Kharkiv front, strike Vovchansk with TOS-1A

The Russians have stepped up fortification efforts and used a heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A to attack Vovchansk on the Kharkiv front.

Details: The operational situation on the Kharkiv front has not undergone significant changes and remains complex. Ukraine’s defence forces continue to hold back the pressure from the Russians.
In the area of the settlement of Hlyboke, the Russians are carrying out individual movements of personnel to reinforce units at the front lines.
The Russians are reinforcing assault groups and have begun active work on fortifying new positions near Starytsia.
In Vovchansk, Russian forces conducted individual movements of personnel to ensure logistical support and replenish current losses. They used a TOS-1A system to attack the city.
Reportedly, there were two combat clashes on 23 September. The Russians carried out five airstrikes using five guided bombs and conducted 53 attacks with kamikaze drones. They also carried out 360 attacks targeting Ukrainian defenders’ positions.
Ukraine’s defence forces are adequately responding to Russian operations and continue to destroy the personnel, weapons, and military equipment of the Russians.
Over the past day, Russian losses totalled 85 personnel, with 15 killed and 70 wounded.
On the Kharkiv front, the Russians also lost 75 units of weapons and military equipment, including 1 tank, 1 infantry fighting vehicle, 5 pieces of special equipment, 13 artillery systems, 4 vehicles, and 51 drones.
Ukrainian forces destroyed:
- 59 shelters for Russian personnel,
- 1 drone launch pad,
- 2 ammunition storage points.
