Russia loses 1,080 Russian soldiers and 41 artillery systems in one day

The General Staff has updated information on Russian losses in the war: they have lost over 665,000 Russian soldiers killed or wounded, and the Ukrainian defence forces have destroyed 19,263 artillery systems, 17,765 armoured personnel carriers and 8,945 tanks since the start of the full-scale invasion.

Details: The total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 10 October 2024 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:
- approximately 665,200 (+1,080) military personnel;
- 8,945 (+1) tanks;
- 17,765 (+14) armoured combat vehicles;
- 19,263 (+41) artillery systems;
- 1,225 (+2) multiple-launch rocket systems;
- 976 (+3) air defence systems;
- 369 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
- 328 (+0) helicopters;
- 16,767 (+49) strategic and tactical UAVs;
- 2,619 (+1) cruise missiles;
- 28 (+0) ships/boats;
- 1 (+0) submarine;
- 26,314 (+74) vehicles and tankers;
- 3,386 (+1) special vehicles and other equipment.
