Quote: “Almost 300 port infrastructure facilities, 177 vehicles and 22 civilian vessels have been damaged or destroyed as a result of the Russian attacks. On the whole, 79 civilians were injured, including port workers, logistics company employees and ship crews.”

Details: As Kuleba reports, Russia is deliberately intensifying attacks on the port infrastructure in the southern part of Ukraine. The goal is to reduce Ukraine’s export capacity and provoke a food crisis in regions of the world that are directly dependent on Ukrainian grain supplies.

“The world must respond to these attacks accordingly because the impact is not limited to Ukraine. Above all, it affects the Global South and European nations. Today, over 40 countries receive our grain – among them are Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Spain, Türkiye and the Netherlands,” Kuleba added.

Oleksii Kuleba stressed that the international community must increase pressure on Russia, as silence and inaction only embolden it.

Background: The European Union has responded to the increase in Russian strikes on civilian ships transporting Ukrainian grain by urging interested countries to press Moscow to stop these actions.
