Quote: “We truly didn’t expect such a large number of people; we didn’t anticipate such great trust from you, nor did we foresee so many of you wanting to join. We’ve allocated insufficient resources and personnel for this, as, alongside the formal procedures of forming the regiment, the vast majority of our soldiers are still actively carrying out combat missions…”

Details: Formed in late 2024 from the K-2 battalion of the 54th Mechanised Brigade, this regiment is actively recruiting personnel to enhance Ukraine’s capabilities in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles.

The significant interest in joining the 20th K-2 Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment reflects Ukrainian citizens’ support for the Armed Forces and their eagerness to contribute to the nation’s defence through modern warfare methods. The unit specialises in the use of drones for reconnaissance, fire adjustment and special operations.

The regiment’s command expressed gratitude for the enthusiasm of those eager to join and emphasised the importance of a thorough selection process to form a professional and motivated team. The review of applications and selection of candidates for training with the regiment is currently ongoing.
