New Estonian military support package for Ukraine to arrive in first half of 2025

The next military aid package from Estonia will be delivered to Ukraine during the first half of this year.

Details: Speaking at a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha in Kyiv on Tuesday, 14 January, Tsahkna recalled Estonia’s commitment to providing Ukraine with annual military support equivalent to 0.25% of its GDP.
“The next package will arrive in the first half of this year,” the Estonian minister stated.
He stressed that per capita, Estonia has provided one of the strongest levels of both military and humanitarian support for Ukraine.
Tsahkna also emphasised the importance of supporting Ukrainians to ensure Ukraine maintains a strong position.

Background:
- In November, the Estonian government approved Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur’s proposal to send a new military aid package to Ukraine.
- Earlier, Estonia noted that its stockpiles of weapons and ammunition available for transfer to Ukraine were almost depleted.
