Germany delivers 155-mm shells and combat drones to Ukraine

The German government updated its list of military aid provided to Ukraine on Tuesday, 14 January, confirming the delivery of thousands of artillery shells and drones.

Details: Since late December, Germany has supplied Ukraine with 20 mine-resistant and ambush-protected vehicles, 14,000 155-mm artillery shells, 19,000 122-mm shells and ammunition for Leopard 1 tanks.
Additionally, Ukraine received 600 HF-1 combat drones, 50 VECTOR reconnaissance drones, 46 RQ-35 HEIDRUN and 43 SONGBIRD reconnaissance drones.
Other equipment and supplies delivered include 11,000 120-mm mortar shells, tourniquets, field glasses and wool blankets.
The list also announces upcoming deliveries of 5 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, 9 RCT-30 Boxer wheeled infantry fighting vehicles, 277 mine-resistant and ambush-protected vehicles, and 18 RCH 155 self-propelled artillery systems.
The first of the 54 howitzers ordered by Ukraine was personally handed over by German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius.
