Details: A localised deterioration in air quality in Kyiv has been observed as of 10:30 due to a fire in the Podilskyi district caused by a Russian missile attack on 29 December.

An increase in the concentration of combustion products, including particulate matter (dust), is observed in the northern part of the city.

At the same time, the Department of Environmental Protection and Climate Change Adaptation of the Kyiv City State Administration notes no exceeding of the permissible concentrations of substances under observation.

If you are in a smoky area, it is recommended that you stay indoors until the air situation improves:

  • Close the windows
  • Limit outdoor activities
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Turn on an air purifier to its maximum setting, if you have one.
