Details: Based on the results of processing over 99% of the ballots, the Smer-SD party led by former Prime Minister Robert Fico received the most votes, with 23.29%.

Second place went to Progresívne Slovensko (Progressive Slovakia), affiliated with the current president, Zuzana Čaputová, with 17.07% of votes.

One exit poll expected Progressive Slovakia to be ahead of Fico’s party with over 23% of the vote.

The Hlas (Voice) party of former Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini is in third place with 14.96% of the votes. This party may join a coalition of both pro-Western and pro-Russian elements.

Former Prime Minister Igor Matovič’s OL’aNO+ block gained 9.01%.

The SaS party received 6.22%, and the Kresťanskodemokratické hnutie (Christian Democratic Movement) 6.9%.

The far-right Republika party reportedly received 4.79% and will likely fail to enter parliament. However, the Slovenská Národná Strana (Slovak National Party) of former Speaker Andrej Danko, also known for its anti-Ukrainian sentiments, managed to pass the threshold with 5.67%, which is less than the polls had previously predicted.

Given these results, the distribution of seats may be as follows: Fico’s party – 42, Progressive Slovakia – 31, Pellegrini’s Voice – 27, Matovič ‘s bloc – 16, Christian Democrats – 13, SaS – 11, and the Slovak National Party – 10.

Background: Voting in the early elections in Slovakia took place on Saturday, 30 September.

A few hours ago, there were reports that the Progressive Slovakia party, which advocates maintaining strong support for Ukraine and is close to incumbent President Zuzana Čaputová, might win the Slovak election.
