Armiia+ app for military launched in Ukraine: electronic reports is its first function

An Armiia+ (Army+) mobile app has been launched in Ukraine. The app can be used by soldiers to send electronic reports to their commanders.

Quote by Zelenskyy: “Starting today [8 August – ed.] the Armiia+ app has been put into operation. It starts with a basic function which is electronic reports. It will be possible to do what now takes hours or even days in a few minutes by making a few clicks. There will also be ArmiiaID (electronic military certificates – ed.) and surveys (of soldiers – ed.) so that we can see the real situation with the supplies for our units. Later new functions will be added.”
Details: Zelenskyy noted that the goal of the app is to relieve the Ukrainian army of paperwork so that commanders and soldiers do not waste their time on “obsolete and useless bureaucracy”.
Zelenskyy stressed that at the next stages of the development of Armiia+ new functions would be added which would help soldiers to cover all of their social and communication needs.
Specifically, he notes that there will be courses and training programmes for soldiers in the app. Zelenskyy added that reliable communication between soldiers will be facilitated by the app – protected chats will be created.
In his turn Shmyhal noted that on 30 July the Ukrainian government regulated the operation of the Armiia+ app with a separate decree. He states that the services are starting their work, and soldiers can already use them.
Background:
- On 17 May the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine launched the Reserve+ mobile app for persons liable for military service, conscripts and reservists. At the moment 3.3 million of those liable for military service have updated their military records in the app.
- On 7 August Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the launch of the Armiia+ mobile app which is supposed to make the life of soldiers and their commanders much easier.
