Azov Brigade reports military equipment shortage due to prejudice from international partners
Pravda Ukraine
Azov is forced to provide its own military equipment because it does not receive sufficient supplies due to stereotypes and prejudice on the part of the West.
Source: Hero of Ukraine Lev Pashko, an officer of the Azov 12th Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda
Quote from Pashko: “At Azov we have always had problems with the amount of armoured vehicles and certain types of weapons. We buy equipment with our own money. For example, people and volunteers are currently raising money for M-113 armoured vehicles through a fundraiser.
Everyone says ‘Azov are heroes,’ but the West still has a trace of Russian propaganda, and so it is very difficult (to get international partners to provide weapons – UP).
It’s a shame, because Azov has always demonstrated a high level of expertise.”
Details: According to Pashko, sometimes a company commander in Azov has only 2-3 armoured personnel carriers instead of 18, and these are “not the best ones”.
