Pravda Ukraine

The Ukrainian citizens are in critical condition after coming home from Russian captivity.

“The biggest officially recorded weight loss after five months of Russian captivity is 77 kg,” reported Dmytro Lubinets, Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, at the International Human Rights Conference Freedom or Fear.

He states that, besides prisoners of war, 28,000 Ukrainian civilians are currently held in Russian captivity.

Recounting the story of a former captive, Lubinets revealed that Ukrainians in captivity are fed “something akin to painted water”.

He noted that Ukraine has no opportunity to establish the exact whereabouts or the number of its citizens held captive by Russia.

Lubinets added that the Russians even forbid people to write letters.

Background: 17-year-old Mia Leimeberg and her two-month-old Shih Tzu puppy were held captive by HAMAS for two months.
